hermes-opencode-acp: OpenCode's model catalog inside Hermes

Hermes has a new provider: hermes-opencode-acp, a plugin that wires OpenCode into Hermes over the Agent Client Protocol (ACP). That means 200+ models (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek, and more) without managing API keys one by one — plus OpenCode's free tier via OpenCode Go credits.

What it does

• 200+ models, one provider — pick any model from OpenCode's catalog as your Hermes model or fallback (hermes model / hermes fallback add show the full list).
• Persistent sessions — one OpenCode process per model, reused across turns; model switches apply in place, no history loss.
• Free tier included — run on OpenCode Go free credits, then fall back to paid when exhausted.
• Fallback-chain ready — when your primary model is rate-limited, Hermes tries OpenCode models before other providers.

How it works

Hermes connects to OpenCode via JSON-RPC over stdio (opencode acp). OpenCode handles model selection, tool use, and plugin fallbacks; Hermes drives the ACP wire.

It's early/experimental (tested on macOS with Hermes Agent) — and we're tracking upstream: Hermes core is planning its own generalized ACP client (#5257). When it lands, this plugin's patch set gets absorbed into core and the repo can be retired — config stays compatible.
